Well. It’s Winter ❄️.

I’m spending January and February working toward bookings in March Women’s History Month) and beyond: a LOT of emails and phone calls, research and writing . . . with breaks to shovel snow ❄️.

For April (National Poetry Month), I’m promoting more performances of Places, Please, Act One, Warren Kliewer’s “poems around and about theatres,” which premiered last year and toured as far west as Kansas. And I have a new summer program—this makes four—with stories by O. Henry and my favorite, Mary E. Wilkins Freeman, titled Independence Days.

For starters, here’s the March Calendar:

🏠 ABOUT THE REVOLT OF “MOTHER”

Long ago, Adoniram Penn promised his wife that he would build a proper house on their New England farm. He even pointed out the spot. That was early in their marriage—two children ago. Now, as their eldest prepares for her wedding, the family still crams into the old, shabby cottage . . . and Father is building a barn where the new house belongs. It’s the last straw for Mother, and Father’s in for a surprise. By Mary E. Wilkins Freeman

Thanks for dropping by. More to come. —MLR
